Special Note from Trent:
To The Hawks Prairie Men’s Club-
Thank you all for supporting me in my endeavors of obtaining level A membership
with the PGA. This is something I have been working towards for some time now,
and is the culmination of nearly two years of work. The PGA Professional Golf
Management Program has already been such an amazing and rewarding experience
for me. The raffle you all participated in generated an overwhelming amount of
support for my level 1 trip to Florida at the PGA learning center, where I did pass all 9
of my exams, and learned a wealth of new information about this job I love, while
attending several business seminars. My goal is to use this information to help provide
an even more enjoyable place for you all to play, compete, and relax here at Hawks Prairie.
I really could not ask to be surrounded by a better group of guy’s, day in and day out.

At a meeting of the newly elected Board preceding the “Grinch Tournament” the
following Officers were chosen to lead our Club for the 2012 season.
President: Don Lawson

Member at Large: Bud Rossow
Member at Large: Tony Hawkins
As always, the Board would greatly appreciate your input and would especially appreciate
any and all volunteers, who would like to step up and help with running our Club’s events.

“The 2011 Grinch Champions”
Jim Cahill & Gary Lueckenotte won "The Grinch" title on Dec. 17th with a Best Ball
gross score of 68. On the net side, Paul Buckholtz & Jim King were victorious, carding a 60.

HANDICAP COMMITTEE: Establish a fair and proper system of handicaps, in accordance with
procedures as set forth in the USGA Handicap System Manual, and to monitor such system to ensure that all
scores are being properly determined and posted by the Membership.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE: Encourage and arrange social and entertainment activities and events for special
occasions and General Membership meetings.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: All aspects of encouraging the growth of the Club.Charged with
maintaining a current roster of active Members including all contact information. To act as a liason between the
Golf Course Management and the Club with regard to timely payment of dues, and other issues as they may
arise. To coordinate with the Tournament Committee to ensure all participants in Tournament Events are
Members in good standing.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Works in conjunction with the Membership Committee to
maintain a current roster of active Members including all contact information.. Ensures that the Website is
maintained and current, and coordinates with Golf Course Management to provide timely Tournament
information and other club news.
SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE: The goal of this committee is to solicit and retain local business sponsors
whom meet our strategies to raise money for worthy charitable organizations and conduct outstanding golf
tournaments.
